I agree with MOPARfulSRT4. If you guys could read, you'd see that the SRT-4 was worked on. The SRT-4 is NOT a faster car, it's been modified. The guy in the GTO is NOT a bad driver, he just has a slower car. You posers always act like you're experts but you never post up videos of your cars or races.

Thats embarassing a 40,000 losing to a 20,000 car....Id go sell it and get a cobalt ss turbocharged so u would have a better chance and get better gas mileage...cause im pretty sure after those runs u had to get some gas

I'm not taking away from that. Like I said, when I first saw them I was totally impressed. I just didn't like it when I got to drive it. For 20K they're hella fast. but my argument was about power delivery and performance after stock. Dollar for dollar I don't think they are that great. I'd rather have like a 2000 or 99 Audi S4. 250HP a $600 chip bumps that to 318AWD HP. That's bang for you buck!

No. I've never seen one do 13 flat. I have seen 13.2 to 13.4s stock. The AWD makes up for the weight in the form of grip during high RPM launches. The new evo MR (the high HP version) is not faster for one reason alone. It's an automatic. No high RPM launches for that guy.

And stop basing your argument over the 215 hp, non lsd, torque happy 03 SRT-4. Shit, even for the 03 SRT-4 to hit low 14s is amazing. The 230 hp less torquey 04-05 models can and have hit 13s.

So basically what you're saying is the 03 EVO with 271 hp and weighs 3200+ lbs can 1/4 mile in 13 flat but the newer 290 hp and weigh 3200+ lbs does a 1/4 in the mid 13s? Wouldn't you think more horsepower would make a car faster? I think your site is off by more than .2 seconds Clifford. |
