This is a prim example of way people with degrees look so dumb.I know a lot of people with Degrees and they all have there heads stuck in the sand. They need to go out into the real world and see what is happening! But will they? No they will not! They just set in the office getting fatter and waiting on the rest of us to fix everything for them. There is a new generation of Engineers coming out soon. So step aside old school, the new school is here!

ugly101 is correct. The energy saving is trivial, he's running an unloaded splitphase motor, the savings are about 3% even under these conditions, where he's perfectly correcting for one motor, without knowing what your house has in the way of motors, which can vary greatly. Also, note the motor is pulling 5.5 amps even unloaded, a characteristic of very inefficient old designs. Sounds like a scam to me. But I'm only a degreed engineer, what do I know!

Yeah its such a scam... I know I'm only saving 20% off my bill last month... man what a scam... Yeah my dad only saved $100 off of his bill last month... yeah what scam. Yeah - the savings will have paid for the unit in under a year which means the savings he keeps getting he just pockets... yeah what a scam...

SCAM------------------STAY AWAY-------------motor is under no load, poor power factor, if motor was working underload power factor would be higher, very, very, very, very, little to no reduction in kwatts saved!!!!your selling this to people who are not filmilar with elect theory and power factor correction.GOOGLE; CAN POWERFACTOR CORRECTION SAVE ENERGY/MONEYand find out the truth. |
