Man I am so grateful you posted this Axeman! Like others have said, I had a staple of Double Live ALbums in the 70's that I now have on CD. This is one of them. Along with Kiss Alive, Rush - All The Words A Stage, Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same, Deep Purple - Made In Japan, etc. Growing up as a teenager in Eastern Canada during the 70's we never had the opportunity to see bands and concerts like this. Keep em coming!

Thanks for mentioning "Strangers"...so many people gloss right over that one. How come live albums are so out of fashion nowdays?? When I was a teenager I had a roster of live albums that I listened to constantly. Rush "All the worlds a stage" D-Purple "made In Japan" and "Europe" and all the ones you named as well...I played the shit out of "the Song Reamins the same-soundtrack" too...good times!

I think all the big '70s live albums are essential listening for rock fans. Live Bootleg, Double Live Gonzo, Strangers In The Night, Alive, Live And Dangerous...the list goes on. |
