pretty sure this was 5-1-08 at the republic (formerly the howlin' wolf). i was standing in just about the same spot at the beginning of the set. definitley hot shiznit. the soulive portion of the show did not disappoint either.

Was this the show at Tipitina's on Friday night/Sat. AM? I really wanted to go see them then but was at Umphrey's over at House of Blues instead - wish I could have seen them!

Yeah man...I will be there to see them at the Independent. I can't wait. I just saw Rebirth Brass Band @ Independent a few weeks ago. Great show. You can see a clip if you look at my vids.Are you going to the show too?

YO!!! I was at this show! New Orleans Baby!! I was standing right in front of Neal! Got to talk w/him for a quick min after the show. He was PISSED at the soundguy early on. Said one of the monitors was killin his ears. Despite sound flaws( I couldn't hear the Rhodes all nite) this was an AWESOME SHOW!! Didn't let out til 4am!! I'm at Jazzfest every yr just for joints like this. Soulive and Lettuce for life!! Hey you're in SF? I'm in SJ. You gonna check em out at the Independent(SF) next month?
