I wouldn't exactly call this a one-sided fight like some of you are making it out to be. Royce was definately living dangerously fighting this guy, them were some HARD strikes by Keith! Loved the intenisty and focus of both these guys, you could cut the tension with a knife! Great Fight.

Hackney had to evolve like many have, Royce proved to the world how overrated karate and other martial arts were. Now you need to know striking, grappling, submissions, etc. one dimensional fighters get exposed easily.

Well, i think that Royce Gracie never was the super fighter that a lot o people believed. Hackney was far, far away of being a good fighter an he almost defeated Royce, and if you think a little, How many GOOD kickoxers or other fighters Royce defeated?. I think that Royce was a good grappler, not the best fighter.

that was back in the day...his style now is MMA, he has since added thai boxing,western boxing and BJJ to his martial arts knowledge

Although Royce Gracie will always be the man, I have always liked Keith Hackney. I never liked UFC very much after the first five. Once a persons "technique" has been analyzed and studied there will aways be a way to defeat them. It's the first meetings or chance encounters that are the best. All senses are at a heightened awareness.

If Hackney had any skills(two lessons even) at locking he could have broken Hoyce ankle at around 3.45 instead of just holding it like he wanted to suck his toes.Hackney was DESTROYED in this fight and im no Gracie fan.
