Jacques Brel wrote a wonderful song. And David Bowie made a very good English interpretation of it.

OMG, my fave Bowie cover ever. In fact, my second fave song he ever did after BKS.Shame the vid isn't of him doing it, tho. My fave verion is live on the Bowie at the Beeb album. John Peel goes 'very tasty indeed' afterwards :)

I'm a true Brel fan and I find this cover impressive. France is full of singer covering Brel, but unfortunately always without talent and without soul. Bowie has talent.
