Hate to say it but I think I like the Seekers version better than the BeeGees. Much clearer vocals by Judith. She had such a beautiful voice. Thanks for posting.

at the weekend we set off from yorkshire england for 2 weeks in new england and i can not wait we are going to boston then up to portland then bar harbur and then lincon then stow and then winding our way to Rhode Island and back to boston

For your info, the song was written for Judith but the Gibbs could not get it to her in London so they recorded it themselves to much success.... TRUE.

I'm wondering if the song refers to the Northeast Blackout of 1965. I was born and raised in Massachusetts and was in college during the blackout.
