A bit heavy and post-punk for the gay crowd at that time, was it not? Was it only gays that listened to them back then? I doubt it! Maybe in the US, though!

I always liked to pull that vinyl out around Halloween for some reason... I was one of the few non-gays that listened to them back in the day down here. I even have a few posters stashed away somewhere from my college days. I remember that these shows (recordings) were a hot item in Goldmine Mag (yeah, a mag for music collectors before the internet).. Ok, I am rambling now... Cheers...

I'm pretty sure that this was from a late night show from when Channel 4 started in the UK call Whatever You Want. It was hosted by Keith Allen and it's possible that The Cocteau Twins were support act for Killing Joke who were on the same show. I think the other Cocteau's track that was shown on that programme was Wax and Wane. This is all from memory... and it was 26 years ago!
