Just preset the microswitches and turn the setup off bringing you back to the 5 way slider. When you're ready for an instant change just press the button closest to the neck and...BOOM!

I just saw one of these in the classifides. I have the 2550, this sounds as good. Might pick it up and swap the pups. The button closest to the neck activates the microswith setup and disables the 5 way blade switch. The next 3 buttons represent the 3 pups respectively (push to turn them on), and the last button near the bridge activates the coil tap on the bridge hum (the equivalent of pushing the tone knob down).

I bought one for 400$ with shipping. It's gold pearl. I really like it. I still want to get one like this one though. you should chek out caifanes avientame, the guitarist has that same guitar. Later man.

I agree. Too bad I have already sold it. I am just more of a Les Paul guy at heart. I have sold every strat that I have ever owned. I guess I get bored of them, I don't know....never saw the V.

I was just kidding with you! Back in the day when I bought the first one, the local music store only had 3 color choices - silver, gold, and copper. I think they were on some kind of close out deal or something. They really were cool guitars....

I have the Rare 1985 Ibanez Proline PR1660 Flying V. The V5 blade pickups produce a much more agressive tone that the other prolines that didn't get them. the prolines are the closest thing to an ibanez prestige that you can find in such days. Still outplays almost any modern Ibanez. Don't let that proline go buddy!

I inherited it from my uncle, I wouldn't dream of bying a guitar in that color, thats why i'm gonna re paint it in a other color.

Glad that you like these guitars. I don't really think they were intended to be "metal" guitars per se. The buttons and pick up combinations lend themselves more to a versatile approach. Sorry - but the gold color ones look ghey.

Sorry - Paid $450 for this one back a year or more ago. That was with shipping. I think I bought my first one in 88 for the same amount.

I love that guitar, it suits my guitar style perfectly and i can get som really heavy distortion out of it, if you know how to set it up properly. The only thing I have to complain about is the color, mine is in Pearl Gold. |
