This game aint that easy on Elite. You actually need to stratigize not just running into the room like a dumbass and getting your balls blew off

well they sorta can move on their own if they follow you.They only ask for orders because you command them and to create the whole "Commander of the squad" feeling in the game.

But the downside is that your teammates can die (That's what I assume, I haven't played the game) and your teammates apparently aren't smart enough to know where to go on their own. Although I do agree, you have much more options than in CoD4.
