Yes, tis' a shame that a man like Al Gore can compile a "Film" full of doctored images, videos,and false facts and then go on to win two Oscars for it and a Nobel Peace Prize for himself. Arrg, talking about him gives me a headache, I need a mild, smooth tasting Camel cigarette right about now...

Yes, there was a lot of propaganda by the tobacco companies everywhere, billboards, magazines and of course, television. I was raised in a home where there was NO smoking allowed EVER. My mother hated smoking and purged anyone who smoked out of her life. Not kidding!!! Going to a restaurant was out of the question because smoking was allowed. So, I never smoked and I thank my mother for that.

Stupid, how? People believed what the television told them to believe, just like now. Just like how the Bush administration fabricated documents to justify invading Iraq and paid off scientists to discredit the threat of global warming. People will generally 'believe' whatever is most convenient and/or expedient. On most quantifiable levels, we're far 'stupider' now than then.

I still have nighmares about my high school bathrooms where toilets were constantly overflowing because of the cig butts. Yuck!!!!!!

God their propaganda works even to this day! That girl they showed makes me want to smoke and I hate cigs! (I prefer weed)
