The Patriot might be Trail rated, but only for the US market. In the European version you got such a terrible frontend, that you cant even attack the smallest hills. Try for yourselve to check out the difference.

Not sure as to why all the reviews for the Patriot are so negative. It is a wonderful vehicle for what it is, which is a small SUV with decent off road capability. Will it go rock climbing? Hell no, but it will leave the CR-V, the Escape, and the RAV4 sitting on the side of the road while the Jeep goes out and has some fun.
