......I have this episode on VHS and I don'tlet ANYONE borrow it,but I have my brotherin law make copies for them.

from what i've read, EON was on at 4:30 EST when it first started, then as early as 2:30 EST, and at a later time with the move to ABC. being w west coaster, it didn't matter when ESN came on as longas it did! seeing these episodes and clips makes it feel as though, even after 24 years, that EON never left the air! thx to all for these posts, and i hope to see more...

That's Hal Simms(not Harry Simms)who was Edge's announcer from 1972-1984(CBS & ABC)who once said "Theeeeee Eddddddddge Of Night"! Before him, it was Harry Kramer, before that, Hebert Duncan and some guy named Dixon!

This is way too great. These years (the CBS years) is the absolute best. Personally, I have some audio CBS versions from when I was in middle and high school. This is the best show ever on television. Zach, you are great.

interesting fact. Other than my late grandmother who watched EDGE from day one up to 1977, I grew up with only men (or boys my age) who followed EDGE OF NIGHT...The day the SPRITE exploded and Nicole seemingly disappeared, our living room was packed with viewers (of all ages and sexes) who had followed the exciting CBS promos all week long of the danger that awaited ADAM & Nicole's on their belated honeymoon...

One thing among many so great about this soap was that for years it was the last on the CBS weekday daytime roster, airing late afternoons & literally at "the edge of night" or dusk, at least on the East coast. That lent an added noirish aura to its suspenseful stories. Its detective feel & later hour also brought in many more male viewers, arriving home from work, than for other soaps.

Also, it would be great to have an "EON" episode with Millette Alexander, best remembered as "Dr. Sara McIntyre" on "The Guiding Light," who was defended by "Adam Drake" in a storyline before "Nicole" came into the picture. |
