lenovo likes to use what they call a trackpoint (that lil red thing in the middle of the keyboard) in place of a touchpad

I'm an incoming college freshman in the fall and I am interested to buy a tablet PC. I wish to use for note-taking and for outdoor activities. I'm in a crossroads of either choosing a HP tx2500 or a Lenovo X61. They both sound good. But what would you guys recommend? Thanks

Very minimaly,HELLO,THIS IS A VISTA TABLET PC,NOT A LINUX TABLET PC and does linux support those pens? :P
