I'm tired of People saying Jack is better or Heath is better. Incase you haven't guessed the two jokers are two diffrent versions of the joker. For Burton's joker Nicholson did a damn good job. For The new movie Heath did a great job. Not to mention this movie is 1989 keep that in mind. The charecter of Joker has developed ALOT SINCE 1989. ALOT!!! If Jack had Ledgers material who knows what he could have done with it. It's speculation. Now let it rest!

jack physically doesnt suit the joker (other than his smile) hes too fat and you're totally aware its jack nicholson doing his usual schtick (he does it well but is essentially a one trick pony) whereas compare brokeback to dark knight with heath he totally becomes the character a much more talented actor

Actually your assumption is not quite accurate. In the Al Quaeda's eyes they are freedom fighters, defenders of their faith. In their minds they are the hands of righteousness and killing people to defend their beliefs is for a greater good!Joker on the other hand, causes destruction for no particular purpose whatsoever, to him its all for personal enjoyment, theres no particular motive to the Joker's actions. He is purely and simply as he puts it "an agent of chaos".

Exactly. In case you didn't notice, the Joker of TDK does the very things Al-Quaeda does and did. Kills innocent people with bombs, makes sadistic videos of killing people, the cell phone bomb in the station, as well as the mockery and encouragement of us to spy on our own people to rat them out.

The only reason why Tim burton altered the story slighty because he felt that it would be a better chemistry between the hero/villain relationship if it was the Joker who killed Batman's parents instead of Joe Chill.
