OK, I thought you were saying faith (God) let them down. The prosperity pimps would say that the individual didn't have enough faith. The truth of the matter is God may have been blessing them by not giving them money and stuff. Money could have been a distraction or have led them away from God. Look at all the lotto winners who end up carnal and broke! Eternity matters a lot more than stuff on earth!

Faith in what? If they have faith in Jesus Christ, they will spend eternity with their Creator and be rewarded for their faith in eternity... A lot better than anything they could get in this short, insignificant life!

You're missing it. They're teaching that God wants EVERYONE to ALWAYS be rich & in perfect health. That's clearly idolatry. The worst part is that the poor (here & throughout the world) are being taught that God will make them rich, their babies & animals won't get sick or die, & they only need to have faith. That's a lie. Then they get let down & fall away, crushed. You see, God uses sickness & tough times to draw us to Him & glorify Him by looking to Him & glorifying Him in the midst of it.
