Clamoroso in Bielorussia. Sergei Shmolik, considerato il "primo fischietto" del paese, si è reso protagonista di un evento raro sui campi di calcio: sabato scorso ha arbitrato ubriaco Vitebsk-Naftan, match valido per il campionato locale, finito 1 a 1. All'inizio si pensava che Shmolik avesse un dolore alla schiena. Il test in ospedale ha invece rivelato il vero motivo dello strano comportamento dell'arbitro, che ha diretto gran parte del match a centrocampo. Al termine della partita è stato poi trascinato (a fatica) fuori dal terreno di gioco dal quarto uomo. Per Shmolik, che diresse anche un match di qualificazione al mondiale 2002 degli azzurri (Italia-Lituania 4-0, doppiette di Inzaghi e Del Piero), partiranno ora gravi sanzioni. E c'è già chi, in Bielorussia, propone pattuglie della polizia con test del palloncino lungo il tunnel degli spogliatoi...(SM)
