The Melvins refused to get off the stage untill "every piece of the floor was on the stage!" They let their insturments feed back for 15 minutes while the crowd went nuts!! Finally Trent came out and told the audience to calm down because the Jim Rose Circus was coming on and, well.. you can't be throwing shit a a guy juggling chain saws! Then nine inch nails played one of the best sets I have ever seen. It was a really awesome night!!!

I was at this show. It was filmed at the Dallas Coliseum in winter of 1993. What a Crazy ass show!! The Melvins opened and Dallas HATED them! The band taunted the crowd and was then PELTED with the floor (which was foam because back then the Dallas Freeze-an IHL hockey team-still played there and the foam was covering the ice rink).

I don't agree. Cash's version was beautiful too, but he only borrowed from Trent's vision, but in Cash's vision, he related the song to his own life the way all of us who love it do, and he had an oppurtunity to relay that musically due to his own unique talent. Cash demonstrated his love for Trent's music the way we all do in our own way. The differance was that he had a forum to do it publically, like so few of us do. I love what he did and what Trent created. |
