No, there's a parachute hidden under the wing. It connects to the wing, and he can use it can keep the wing attached. Then he's got the standard parachuter's pack under the wing, which has another 2 chutes (main & backup) which are used if the wing chutet fails, in which case the wing is ejected, and he lands like a normal parachuter.
