This clip is so 80's. When I watch the "current" clips of Macau, I do not recognize any parts of the country at all. However, I can relate to this clip because I was part of it. Man, I can't believe how much the country has changed over the years. I can't believe I am 26 years old!

What a nonsense! So, China took Macau back from Portugal because, we, portuguese made chinese suffer? Bahhh. Chinese wants to recoup the pride (自豪感)and also wants to use Macau and Hong Kong as an example for Taiwan, got it?

Be honestly, I like part the old Macau and most of the new Macau now, especilly the service in the gov. dept, people can really see the changes :) the old Macau is very very slow...:( I mean everything, not very good service in the gov. More people knows the new Macao now ^..~

na, it was a pacific agreement. yes, we portuguese threated the locals like shit... like, 450 years ago.ive lived in macau, and no one disrespected no one. but now, its a diferent story, cases of chinese groups beating the portugueses there are known, but its a big city now, a universal city almost. my brother lives there, id really like to comeback

read my other post..and now, portugal has nothing there but history, so theres nothing we can do, its china, eventhough a special prt of china, like hong-kong. they are from china, but work in a VERY different way... still, chinese-only territory (atleast macau, not sure about hong kong, but i think its the same)

macau wasnt really "offered". in the ages of world sailing, with time, we´ve (the portuguese) did a base in Macau, and that time, if u went there, its yours. the chinese had no notion of the western civilization, so they didnt fight over it (but i dont know how was china then). After the revolution of 1974, portugal gave the independence to tha remaining colonies, but since macau isnt as big as angola or moçambique, it took a little more, but then, we offered it to china...Saudades Macau!

but when on portuguese colony how the portuguese people treated the chinese and who land are you standing? the chinese goverment cannot see the chinese people suffering and many people die. This is why the chinese goverment took over macau

for the chinese dont need to be sad. china is so big there no problem to let go a small piece for the foreigner to invest. we should be proud and live peacefully
