In studio, a band can utilize as many takes as it is necessary to have everything pitch-perfect. When a band preforms live, they only have one shot and that is it.

well, while you think its 'dumb' for people to compare him to Brian Wilson, I find it - 'hilarious'. I mean, I think we're feeling the same here. But people make comparisons, so let them... I can see where people make the connection, and it's not that entirely 'out there'. Panda's a big B WILSON fan, and I bet it had some 'influence' on his 'music', but yeah. PANDA SOUNDS LIKE PANDA. :)

What is?I like Panda Bear but honestly, it's just dumb when people try to compare him to Brian Wilson.

They certainly hit sour notes or go out of key here and there, but I've also seen them nail it just as well live as in the studio. I don't think they're using studio tricks, but rather they just have a problem with consistency at shows. Any live act does. That's what makes it "live". Even The Beatles and the Beach Boys didn't hit it 100% of the time.

True. In the studio, there are things to correct that. |
