I'm almost positive this is from August 2006 b/c I looked on the Sarajevo Film Festival website and this coming august is there 14th program so logically this would be in aug 06

There's a nice piece on Bela Tarr's Santantango in the latest edition of the UK film magazine Vertigo. Vertigo features him quite regularly and the magazine has a good website as well.

Most directors (especially in the US) can't stop talking about themselves. Their films are what matter the most, and Tarr understands that. The whole world is contained in a Tarr film, you just have to look and feel closely. |
