dude 255 missles is the highest amount in all of the prime games...not sure about hunters or prime 1 though and pinball really doesn't count =)

Because they can't. It's not really door lag. It happens when the player doesn't allow enough time for the next area to load. That's why they made some of the rooms the way they are...generic enemies constantly appearing, winding corridors...it's meant to slow you down so the next room loads in time.

Its funny with the door lag in the beginning, that was an issue they never fixed.

What's so surprising? When you get the seeker missiles it gives you 5 more.This is the highest missile count in the game and is required to get 100% percent.
