...I remember my friend in gym class talking about how her dad was in one of the buildings that was hit by the tornado and how they had to go into a stairwell. Random memories.

I was in the Gateway store in Hurst (near NorthEast Mall) and I remember the Pier-1 manager telling us that there was a tornado in Fort Worth and that we should probably seek shelter. After the doors were blown open, we took that manager's advice and went into the back room. There was no damage to the Gateway store, and we walked away with not only a new Gateway computer but also an interesting story to tell at school.

that wasa a scary day it ripped through downtown dallas and fort worth and head straight for plano where i live then changed path at the last minute and hit allen
