I have a magnaflow cat-back on my 06 chevy 1500. It's a 4.3 v6 and sounds, feels, and looks terrific. Flowmasters are too damn loud and straight pipes are simply annoying, not to mention bad for the environment. Get a Magnaflow with a K&N CAI, they compliment each other well.

i have a 2001 4.3 reg cab silverado and ive been wanting to get a cat back system but i havent been able to choose i want something deep and agressive but not to loud that pops and crackles ive been between flowmaster and magnaflow and help would be appreciated
