Finesse no more. The McCain camp now clearly saying the Senator believes what the current President believes, that the President of the U.S. can claim authority to wiretap Americans even where it contravenes a federal statute.""In other words the President may break the law using amorphous Constitutional power as an excuse.""The top advisor to Senator McCain set the record straight in a letter posted online by the conservative National Review this week. [The top McCain advisor] wrote that McCain believes the Constitution gave President Bush the power to order the National Security Agency to monitor Americas international phone calls and e-mails without a warrant. This, despite a 1978 Federal statute that specifically required court oversight of such surveillance.""Furthermore, quoting him, 'neither the Administration not the telecoms need apologize for actions that most people except the ACLU and trial lawyers understand were Constitutiaonal and appropriate in the wake of the attacks on September 11, 2001.'""As for McCain, himself, saying about six months ago, 'I don't think the president has the right to disobey a law. ' It's notable that in the very same interview, he also said, 'there are some areas where the statutes don't apply such as the surveillance of overseas communications.'"

McCain relies on his crutches (Bushy establishment crap) to walk the walk, talk the talk. He's already lost this election because he is so out of tune with the American people and their choice to pursue their own happiness in accordance with their GUS-given rights under the U.S. Constitution.
