My because john Lennon had millions does not mean that he was a hypocrite for saying "imagine no possessions" It was meant as that people in this world can't do without STUFF. He was not a rich child growing up and he just happened to be a HUMBLE FORTUNATE person to have money because he was GENIUS.. John Lennon did a lot for people, and did a lot to spread peace. Is his wife who is still alive a hypocrite for havign money and spreading peace? Some people just don't know shit

somehow when i hear both versions...i feel both moods are perfect in their own way...i absolutely love this version...i think everyone of us is a hypocrite in some way or the other...its unfair to criticize lennon that way...

It's always easy to bash something you don't understand. It's not a shitty version, just different. This song was Lennon's dream, it never came true. Meynard saw that dream deteriorat, and deteriorated the song to match it. it's beautiful, sad, yet optomistic.
