I see your point, but I think.. all things considered, I'd rather have this in the hands of the government than in the hands of corporations. Corporations *obviously* stand to gain a lot in having monopoly over the 'net, and left to their own devices, they'll never leave it be. A law saying "The net must be neutral, and if companies violate this law, the FCC has the obligation to stop it," on the other hand.. at least you can petition the government in a way that you could never with a corp.

Yea but even that's scary to me, I mean more power in the hands of the FCC or in the hands of the corporation sucks.The FCC may be doing whats right now, but how long will that last? I really don't know what the fuck we can do to fix this mess.

Honestly, at this point in time, if ISPs were honest about their promises, most of the US should have fiber optic cables; they received a $25 billion dollar tax write off in the 1990s from the government to improve service, but were never held accountable. So where is that money sitting? In someone's pocket, I'd imagine

Perhaps we should be lobbying for not only a law that says "You must leave the net neutral", but another law that says "The FCC has regulatory power over ISPs", eh?

No need for rude words. The army uses the word neutralize instead of kill. Just like they use in hospitals expire instead of die. I am all for net neutrality it's just that these videos that I saw never really explained very well which side the people are and which side the corporations are so I mixed them up.
