Back in like 80s, when I was a kid, I meet Ruth in NY, outside a hospital. I followed her to her waiting car and when I asked for an autograph - she said "LET THE KID IN" with that famous voice. She grabbed my two cheeks and gave me a BIG smooch on my lips -

It almost sounds like you guys are blaming this on the people who worked on the film. Please, don't. Yeah, it's a terrible thing and I hope the trainer got locked up for it, but nobody who worked on the hilarious script was responsible for it, and I highly doubt they figured the guy who trained one of the coolest monkeys ever was going to be an asshole.It's tragic, but by boycotting this movie, you're blaming people not really responsible. It's the trainer's fault. Nobody else's.

It's true. The piece of shit trainer beat Clyde to death and he was replaced for the duration of the movie by another that was probably beaten too. I really liked this movie when it came out, but could never watch it again once I found out, because knowing Clyde was killed makes me sick. It was in the news.
