These people are just looking for something to criticize Pineda with. I'm sure if he didn't sound like Perry, they would hold it against him too. Nothing would make these people happy. They live in the past and can't seem to move on, hoping Perry would be back. Anyway if he ever comes back it won't be with Journey. Ross during an interview to the question of Perry joining Journey again, said it's not gonna happen.

Steve Perry had his chance Journey respect him but they need a front man to go on, thats why AP is in there now. Lets just enjoy the music of Journey it sounds the same but more energitic I guess.

Arnel is soaring?? He is singing Steve Perry songs trying to sound like Steve Perry. He is an impersonator!! That is plain and simple. Journey is now a cover band covering Steve Perry songs!! Get real!! Do you say the same about Elvis impersonators????? NO

I can see how you could think or even believe that Arnel is riding the coat tails of a great singer such as Steve Perry. But there is something you are missing Steve Perry had his turn and blew it, he refused to take care of himself and get the hip surgery which got in the way of the bands future he gave up he had a chance to make it better and was stubborn so he lost out. Now as to Arnel riding the coat tail of Steve just open your ears and heart and youll see that Arnel is soaring on his own.

I always loved Journey/Steve Perry and regretted never seeing them. I just bought tickets to see them in Auburn, WA and am thrilled that Arnel sounds the way he does and am so excited to finally go and bring my son and nephew (who were born in the 90's).
