Where Lessig's arguement have real backing is in questioning existing copyright law with respect to what the constitution says about promoting the progress of arts and sciences by securing exclusive right to inventors/artist for a limited time.As Valenti says this is subjective, but as Lessig says because of this progress is being stunted and people are being criminalized.A very good debate.

Valenti's arguments are very good on the DCSS issue.

i must say Larry had Valenti on his heels about 70 of the 90 minutes. It would seem that Jack earned his lobbying esteem from his speaking ability, not his logic.
