Glad to know the abilities of the moped. Seems they are plenty powerful enough to take on some serious miles. For me I think a 500 cc is as small as I care to go on the interstate road. When I go to the dealership they act like I need a huge motorcycle and this is simply not true I will find a bike to take me where I need to go and save my money to build my new concrete dome home.

i have a 2005 Streetmate and it's pretty safe to ride, just watch out for curves and cars.one time i rode (with a passenger) for about 44 miles and back. didn't have any problems.

wow thats awesome!! does anyone kno if a new tomos moped (streetmate) would be reliable enough to do a trip like this??? i was thinking about buying one..

I own a 200 cc yamaha trail bike and a 50cc honda moped and I bet myself that the 50 will by far outlast the trail bike. Honda mopeds are fuckin invincible man! I'm thinking about doing a trip accross the U.S. on my moped and then flying back!
