That's why I think I'm being dugg down. People might be thinking that I'm talking about the remake of Vanishing point which was god awful!I meant more about the car chases that Vanishing point had the better one... but really not that much better.

I have to agree there, but Bullitt gives off a solid performance, you can't beat these classic movies. besides if they tried to remake this they'd probably ruin it like they basically did Vanishing Point. Id say stick with the original here.

Picture ME at age 13 on a Friday night in 1974. I decided to watch the Late Show on my local ABC channel (6 in Philadelphia). I was pretty much bored with the movie and about to turn it off when the chase scene began. I remained on the edge of the chair, motionless with mouth wide open until it ended, then said out loud "WOW! I can't wait to drive!" My poor parents!

I always loved how the music ends in mid-note as the Charger zooms ahead and the chase begins.
