The Amish keep to themselves and I have never been able to find a gardening book which outlines the Amish way to garden. As for the beard, ha ha, I don't think I can manage that! Maybe in another 15 years! giggle

I could see some scare of 'bacteria infested home garden kills residents' (towhich in the backdrop you see the victims laying there with oozing bullet wounds). But as of yet, home gardeners are not YET terrorists.Do you mean Executive Order 10998? All food resources, farms and farm equipment will be seized by the government. And that also covers hoarding food.

If you are not mechanically inclined, then find someone who is and tell them what you want built. I love building stuff like that (when I have free time). You can also use a treadmill, windmill or solar powered steam to accomplish any work task. When building your bike-mill, it will run better with a heavy flywheel. Get it going before dumping in grain and it will run smoother (than without flywheel).

There are MANY communities in Indiana that are truly self-sufficient (off grid for power and gasoline too). They are called 'Amish'. Move to Ship-shee and grow a beard!
