Engine sounds great.. although I don't know if it's a skidpan, or a river you're driving in - seems to be a lot of water out there!(I had a '70 XL 4 cyl, 4 speed manual Capri as my first car)My dream is to get over to the UK sometime and find a nice late model RS Capri and bring it back to Australia.

Hey there the GT model with the 3.0 Essex was released in the UK, South Africa, NZ, Germany & Australia. The rest of Europe (inc Germany) were released with Cologne V6's (2.3 & 2.6).

No problem, I really love the Capri, Well I really love the small UK built ford's in general:) In fact i am really going to miss my 74 when it sells, I just have no room to keep three cars, I really wish I did they are wonderful auto's.Keep good care of this one she sure is a keeper! oh and thank you for a wonderful video I love watching this:)

lol yeah I guess it does a little. It's a 1971 GT 3000 with the 4 speed. Originally an auto but swapped for a manual. Not butchered tho so very easy to change back. I may be wrong but I think the "GT" with the 3 litre Essex motor was an Australia-only model... The GT badges on them are the same as an Aussie Falcon GT anyway. Not so good with my Capri history, more of an Escort man myself. Thanks for comment! :o)

Nah, as long as you keep it sideways it;s ok. It's when you drive it straight cars get waterlogged on there. :o) And being a Capri, any water that leaked in to the body just leaks out of the rust holes... Oh that's a bit harsh, that's a pretty good one actually. |
