Neither French team was better than Brazil 82though France 82-86 were all better than Brazil 86. This game is technically superior to Italy - Brazil and I think a better game overall. I think Italy - Brazil is so good because Italy were huge underdogs whereas Brazil were slight favourites in this game

LOL..As if being outplayed by Brasil is a measure of how weak the opposition team is!!.. The best Brasilian teams can cut to shreds the best of defenses!

France 82&86 better than Brazil 82?? Many people wud put Brazil 82 with Hungary54 , Holland 74 as the best teams not to win the world cup!!Italy3-2 Brasil '82 is a tad overrated IMHO. Sure,5 goals were scored.But this game technically was miles better; precise passing,end to end attacking and Brasil's goal was one of the best bit of one touch football I've seen

Nonsense...this French team was weaker than the one in 1982 or the Euro 84 winner...even in this game, they were outplayed by Brazil.
