Basically it is a struggle for placing fascism to the right. Socialists do not like the fact that fascism was a militaristic left wing movement. Anti-Communistic, yes, however the dirty little secret they want to cover is that fascism and socialism are closely related. In fact the Soviet union was basically a fascist state. Apart from some doctrine against religion and less leniency for private enterprise, it pretty much shows how a fascist state was run.

Just 1 ideological question:You pose that Fascism is a "right-wing movement".... Since typically, the "Right-wing" stems to minimal government involvement, would not these be considered "Right-wing Loons that became left wing nuts" in a warped sense of way?... Just a thought...
