A quadripledgic is someone who can't use their arms or legs often due to a spinal injury. Christopher Reeve was a quadripledgic.

some pretty amazing things CAN happen in a hospital if the person is really sick/hurt and it's in their best interest to get better, of course this is a little over the top, but reminicent of some of the things I saw when my nephew was in the hospital after recently becoming a quadraplegic.
