I think its fair to say that Adolf Hitler saved the 'Special Relationship' between teh UK and the US. Anyone who know their history will agree that the US & UK were on the verge of war with each other in 1939. The Brits yes have a powerful army but they are only the 4th most powerful army in the world. The United States Accounts for 50% of the ENTIRE worlds military spending and the most powerful Nation in the World By Far. Not even the common might of ALL the European nations combined could stand up to the Current might of the United States Military.

Get your facts right Konaboy. If it wasn't for the United States the EU would not exist. You would be speaking German at the moment. As a matter of fact if it wasn't for the US footing the defense bill all over Europe your governments wouldn't be able to pay for some of those higher ticket social programs you Europeans love. In fact there are quite a few European countries that have US bases still there for protection. Germany for one has a huge US force stationed there.

The British Army is without a doubt is the best army in the world. It may not always have the best equipment and technology, but the British army has definitely got the best trained, most skilled and professional soldiers in all the world. The British Army are without question the finest soldiers.
