The Core 2 Duo might've not been out then but pretty much every other processor on the market was better than the Celeron. All of AMDs processors at the time were better than your Celeron.

There's no way that was the best computer at the time. Don't give that crap. The Celeron is and has always been the low budget processor and "accelerated graphics" is just fancy wording for integrated graphics which is another budget system. The Core 2 Duo processor might have been out at the time too and even the slowest Core 2 Duo's out perform the fastest Celerons.

oh wow, dude, i have a 2 year old emachine laptop running intel celeron, it cannot play starwars battefront 1 at all. hmm... It has "acclerated graphics capabuilities" and was the best pc at that time, you fuckin need a gamming pc so you don;'t have to upgrade it every year, but every 3 years.

Dude, I really don't think you know anything at all about computers. My computer is 4 years old running on a Pentium 4 and a 6800GS which is about 3 years old. It runs Bioshock smoothly at 1440*900. I'm a console gamer too but seriously, don't spread lies about PC gaming. You definately don't need a "gaming PC" to play games at decent settings.

Wait..did magoo say "most laptops don't...have a graphics processor"? How is that possible, since a GPU renders anything you see on a screen? If you've ever used windows on a laptop even once, you have at least a windows accelerator card or chip that functions as a GPU for the unit. I do think he is correct in assuming the average lifespan of a gaming computer, but it's best (if you have a bit more money to spend) to do what car people do, lease a computer and always have the best available.
