lastly...if denv.. never had that orange crush defense or elway, the rings or shananhan...and your team had 5 good seasons in 30 years what would you think of your team?...if they went 0-16 and never gave you hope...Your team has history..The pats didnt.before bill and bob...

denv,greenbay,oak,pitt,dallas...have had owners who showed the fanbase they cared and they have brought there teams rings...When a team has a ring they are certified they have a groupe of fans who will always go to see them, that will be passed from gen. to gen..the pats before parcells never had an ownership who cared for the fans..Thats why the pats fans are not bandwagon.they are like an expansion teams fanbase..who is loved and has support either side win or loss

I have always like the pats...but the pats in a way are like a expansion team which was founded in basically 94..when parcells took over..They needed him, then kraft then the carroll downturn then bill to stablalize that fanbase..Like 90% of the pats fanbase is After parcells....thats 14 years and running..The fanbase is solid because there has been a commitment to the team by the owners...which all good teams in the league have...your broncos are one of those .

At that point the owner went to bat for his franchise and said to the fans..We will put out a team for you and do whats best. When a team has not won titles its tough to generate a fan base that will stick through time. With the pats wininng the bowls they have that fanbase that will stick with the teams if they are 1-15 or 16-0..Because of parcells and kraft and brady..

parcells started the upswing of the team. Then kraft bought the team. For the first time a local guy who cared about the sport of football owned the franchise. People in NE. know of kraft, They were open to give him a chance because he was deemed a hero in NE. Through the parcells era there was flux attendance wich peaked at the bowl in 96. Thenthe carroll era started and people thought that kraftlost interest and didnt care. But Kraft went to bat for his franchise and hired bill.

Your missing the point about the pats...objectivly looking at the pats you have too look at pre parcells and post parcells..Parcells to the Pats was the Angel who reserected the franchise. He was the name that as head coach before him the pats never had a name coach like that. Look at your teams that you listed you all had name coaches. The first few years under parcells he gave the fanbase confidence for the first time in 10 years and before that the team was good briefly in the 70's.

You better Believe I'd go see my Broncos regardless of record. That's what seperates Green Bay, Oakland, Dallas, Denver, Pittsburgh, and a couple more towns from the other fanbasesYou think recent years here in Denver have been fun? I still go to games though. The thing i just hate though is when a fanbase won't stick with their team through bad times and only show up for the good, that's all I'm saying.

I would like to see the TV ratings, i bet they were very high. I bet you wouldn't have bought a ticket to see the Patriots play if you were a Pats fan back then, they went 2-14. People would rather watch the games of TV when their team sucks. You would be lying if you told me you would pay $60 for a ticket to watch a team that is like 1-12 in December in 5 degree weather. Youve obviously never been to New England

Who the fuck wants to pay money to watch your team lose. When the Celtics sucked I watched the games on TV, I didn't want to waste $40 a ticket to see your my team lose. People are willing to spend their money on a team when they are winning. Would you spend $60 a ticket on your favorite team if they were losing 35-6 every game or 46-10. I dont think you would, especially if it were in New England in December when its 5 degrees out. I went to games in 2000 when they finished 5-11, wasnt fun. |
