This is good advice. I tried a version of this recipe (from MsJackie) and the first time it was nice and creamy and stayed that way. My second bowl was a bit oily upon absorption because i didn't use as much shea butter in the mix. Lesson learned, thank you so much for that great advice! :o)

i just made my first batch of whipped shea butter using your recipe. it was really easy to make and goes on so smooth on my skin and made my skin shine ;) you might have intended it for your hair though. thank you so much for sharing a great recipe!

I decided to start making my own hair products and this is a great video. I have about three pounds of shea butter I had no idea what to do with and now I do. ^_^

You are probably using too much for your skin type

Hi Floeva, Thank you for your shea recipe. I made it and it is very creamy, then it turns to oil on my skin. It soaks in, however throughout the entire day, everything I touch gets oil residue left on it. Is that normal? Please help!

hi FLOEVA i made this cream but my hairs became very dry.."i have dry natural hairs", can i add aloe vera gel or vegatable clycerin?thank you for the recipes...

thanks floeva, i will definitely be trying this! Apparently tea tree and grape seed oil are pretty good natural preservatives so i will probably add either of these..To the person asking about the white and the yellow colour shea, the yellower it is the older it is. the fresher it is the more pale it is and it has less odour. if it's too yellow and smelly it will have lost most of its effectiveness.

good idea for both selling and giving away! i prefer giving practical gifts (for any occasion) and of course it would be a more personal touch since i can whip it up myself, literally. *L* two uses, skin and hair...and for these no joke, michigan winters, that would be perfect!
