I should also add, most car salesmen are just the middle men for the sales managers. Sales managers decide how much they want to charge. Naturally they ask for all of it at first, because when you take it off, you can't put it back on as easy. The sales rep is just an ambassador for both the manager and customer. Ppl used to ask me this all the time, and each time I had to explain we could work something out, but it's not up to me.
