yeah there are aftermarket ones that are better than mazdas for sure. What i should have said is that Mazda were the first to make decent seals

Check Hurley from google.. they produce even better apex seals and rebuild kits.

+ for vid, never knew how a rotary really worked, they say simple engine design, yet i still believe a normal piston engine seems more simple... then again maybe that's bcuz i'm always around normal engines =P

they comsume oil bout a quart every 1200 to 2000 miles, and oil change every 3000 miles.they have a metering pump that drips oil into the intake for the seals.

can a rotary engine run on diesel? If so where can I get one?
themag221 (July 5, 2008 at 1:28 am)
so, rotary engine aren't using oil ?!?, where do they dispend all the heat ? :S

thanks for the video. very informative, i didn't knew this stuff.
abominableaussieman (July 1, 2008 at 1:23 am)
because mazda is the only manufacture that has successfully made good apex seals and has the patent on them.
articpalmtrees81 (June 21, 2008 at 1:39 am)
most likely not, i may be wrong but these engines are capable of higher rpms and considering that diesel takes a longer cycle that combustion engines i doubt diesel would be used |
