George Jones has always been a JERK! Steve Martin should have made that movie about him and perhaps he did.

Good bye to one of the great gentlemen of Country Music. By the way, that's Bert Rivera on the steel guitar--he's 71 years old now, and still playing regularly in Austin, Texas. He is awesome--one of the best steel players in the world.

You will be missed. God Bless you, Hank. I've loved your music for 50 years.

You are right on all counts. He was a great one who gave so many people a great time over the years. Thank goodness their works were recorded, leaving us with great memories.

Rest in Peace, Hank. Goodbye to another country music pioneer and original. In a sense, Hank, you're fortunate not to have live to see the further erosion of country music into the horrible mish-mash of rock and pop that it's become. Now you're singing with the angels.

Rip. Here's to Hank.

This was hank's first hit -- #2 in 1948! Notice how it rocks -- seven years before Elvis first stepped into a recording studio. |
