I kinda look at both of them in a different light, I see Antoine as more of a stickler to fingerstyle and the percussion, Andy seems to be more adventurous in his music. I like both of them equally, both have inspired me beyond measure.

I don't know what you mean by Andy is more mature in his music. I think his beginning music was sort of on the happier side. And his new songs are on the sadder side, so maybe it sounds like his music changed. At first I liked Andy Mckee better, but when I kept listening to Antoine Dufour's music, his music displayed skill with emotion. So now I prefer Antoine Dufour's music.

I love Antoine as well, but I dig Andy's music wayyy more! Rylynn is THE most beautiful piece of music I have ever heard. I like his style more because he manages to make it really technical yet he keeps his songs very musical.

I should try that bandanna thing, my strings sometimes buzz, but its not cuz they're shot, cuz they're quite new...

I agree fully. Andy is phenomenal, however, Antoine's music seems to strike a more satisfying feeling when you listen. I should say that I saw Don and Andy in a small club in Toronto last night and it was by far the most beautiful and stimulating performance I have ever seen. I highly recommend paying some attention to these guys' tour schedules! |
