I had spoken to marty about a song I was writing in 1982, he was willing to consider recording it. I called for him and when I spoke to Debbie, she I have bad news, Marty is in the hospital... heart attack... he never recovered, I believe he passed away late that night or early next morning, A truly great talent,, smoothest voice!

Marty one of the greatest, had a twin sister, they were half navajo indian. Elpaso city is the story of a "sense of the past" as perceived by a flyer...Elpaso, It is "Felena" Marty did many little switches while singing it, Felens, Delena... ahd a great sense of humor.

There is no song titled Kiss from Feleena."El Paso" is told from the cowboys perspective."Feleena" is told third person and follows Feleenas life from her birth in Sante Fe to her suicide in El Paso, after the cowboy is killed."El Paso City" is third person told by a man flying over El Paso in an airliner. He remembers the tail of the cowboy and Feleena, as he heard it years before...
