I trained under Master Kyle Abella of the Tykelions_ a descendant of Lapunti Arnis de Abanico_ It was a laid back training but very useful_ The Doble Baston looks like Balintawak_

Hello guys. Im been a long time student of Doce Pares group for 12 years. I think for me what happened long time ago should be put all behing us because you guys will go nowhere to this conversation. Im under GM Diony and he teaches all original Doce Pares styles of GM Cacoy, Momoy,etc. Even though there are tensions if any should not be an issue to the fact that we are learning FMA for the love of sports and to help preserve our culture.

As I said before. I already do fight dog brothers style and yes, I think the DB style is very good. But I also enjoy sparring in the style of CDP. What's wrong with that? It is possible to enjoy and take the benefits of what each style has to offer. I also train in San Miguel Eskrima and have trained in many others. Each style & system offers something different.

i think both of us are confused. the stories are conflicting. especially the press. i see fights everyday with the Dog Bros. and its all good to me. i think your one of the instructors of you this group Cacoy i tell you this come and check out and try fighting in the Dog Bros and see if you made the right choice.

Manong Cacoy already has a long record of defeating many opponents using his style. Name others with as long a history. At 86 years of age this man is amazing. I have personally trained in many systems (FMA since 1979). I know what works and what doesn't. At the end of the day, its all down to personal choice, there is no one truth for everone, we each find our own.

I am sure that you are confused. Yes GM Cacoy received a challenge letter from Loloy. It was Loloy who went to the press. Ask Loloy why it went to the press with it. Manong Cacoy mearly responded and the intervention was by the Mayor and Chief of Police.
