Uh, yeah. I'm a girl and I think Bobbie Gentry's hot! Best version of fancy, in my opinion.

Reba's over rated.

Love this Bobbie track, not heard the version from Reba (it is McIntyre right?) - my mum is in to her so I'll chase it down, am intrigued to here her cover after all the positive reviews on this video!

Reba? You take her seriously. Now come on xxx123 you can't be serious.

Yep,I think that Reba's pretty much got the song all nailed down.

Thats the highest praise, isn't it!

tedwinward: The red pantsuit is another Bobbie Gentry original! She designed many of her outfits. This tasty number was the one she wore on the cover of her London produced 1968 album 'Local Gentry'.

Reba-Schmeeba, dears. For another thing this clip has a brilliant set design, and Johnny Cash on the front end of the thing. Also, that is one cunning little toreador number she is wearing. Kudos to the apparel designer, the songwriter, and the (likely Nashville) musicians evoking The Memphis Sound here. I commend that other performer for her good taste in covering this song, but her partisans online--those below, who don't like to share--can eat their McEntire hearts out!

Another interesting fact Rebas fans should know . The Bobbie Gentry original was one of HER favorite songs. Reba has stated in print that she "wore out the vinyl" playing the 1969 Bobbie Gentry pop, country,r&b and a.c hit of 'Fancy' |
