This is the ---what---'91 tour? He hadn't had an album out for a long time, like years. I followed him coast to coast til my car died. Thanks for posting.

I'm 25 and I have been loved this song since I was a child.... JJ Cale, the one, only The Best.

The thing that makes it drip reality is his physical resemblance to both Sam Peckinpaw, and Warren Oates, ala "Bring Me the Head of Alfred Garcia," which also has a similar dark tone. It's those big sunglasses, and the salt-and-pepper beard.

As others said before me this a TOP-5 Cale song.On the record there are some moments thatyou're just waiting for his guitar to explode. And his lyrics do have a political(?)spike. But on this he coulb be a lot better...

It is a "dark Bloody tune" but it's REAL and has the "flavor" of the place. You have to have been there at night:) |
